You will find a "Financial Retrospective" of my buying binge from 1997-2000 at the end of this section, just follow the links below. It is a summary of the money spent, lost through all the buying & selling of watches in a tabular format.
Tag Heuer 2000 Chrono
What can I say, this was my first expensive watch. Never heard of IWC, JLC, Patek...all that was in my brain was Tag and Rolex. And besides this is a really cool looking watch.
Tag Heuer Carrera 1964 Re-issue
Found Timezone and hey, I need a mechanical watch.
I was drawn to the classic 60-ish look of the white dial Carrera. It is small for a modern chronograph. It was my first mechanical chronograph & my first manual wind. How I enjoyed winding the watch every day & listen to the slow ticking of its movement. But I soon realised that it lacked that solid feel & superb finish of an IWC, sigh.
Omega Seamaster Pro Auto Mid-Size
This is a very nice watch for the money. I was enjoying it until it became Bond's watch and everyone had one on their wrists.
Rolex Oysterdate Ref 6694 with Grey Dial
This is THE most common watch in Singapore, too common. It's a classic and that plastic crystal makes it more attractive than modern Perpetual Dates.
Rolex Datejust Thunderbird
A two-tone Rolex with a nice bezel. I put on 10 years wearing this watch.
